The Green Pin® Heavy Duty Dee Shackle BN (P-6038) is a high-capacity dee (chain) shackle fitted with a bolt-type safety pin, engineered for the heaviest rigging and lifting applications where a standard shackle range doesn’t reach the required Working Load Limit.
Working Load Limit: 120 tonnes, positioning this shackle firmly in the heavy industrial and offshore lifting category rather than general rigging use.
Construction: Dee (chain) shackles have straight, parallel sides rather than the wider bow shape of a bow shackle, making them well suited to in-line pulling and lifting applications where side-loading isn’t a factor. The bolt-type (BN) pin, secured with a nut and cotter pin, provides a more secure, vibration-resistant connection than a standard pin for heavy or long-duration lifts.
Typical applications: Heavy industrial lifting, offshore rigging, structural installation, and any application where a very high Working Load Limit dee shackle is required.
