Description
The Green Pin® Needle Bearing Swivel EE (ELR) is a Grade 8 eye-eye swivel fitted with needle bearings for smooth, low-friction rotation under load, allowing a sling or rigging assembly to rotate freely without transferring twist into the load or the rigging above it.
Working Load Limit range: 1.12 t up to 12.8 t, covering light through moderately heavy rigging assemblies.
Why needle bearings matter: Needle bearings provide significantly lower rotational friction than a simple bushing or pin arrangement, allowing the swivel to rotate more freely under load — important in applications where the load needs to rotate smoothly and predictably, such as controlled load orientation during a lift.
Eye-eye (EE) configuration: Both ends of the swivel terminate in an eye, suited to direct connection into a chain or wire rope sling assembly at both the load and rigging ends.
Standard: Manufactured to relevant swivel component standards with full proof-load testing and material certification.
Typical applications: Rigging assemblies where controlled load rotation is required, and preventing torque transfer into the sling or hoist rope is important.
