The Green Pin® Self Locking Hook EN1677-3 CL GR8 (XLC) is a Grade 8 clevis-type self-locking hook with automatic latch, designed for secure chain sling termination where accidental disengagement must be prevented under all working conditions.

What “self-locking” means: Unlike a standard hook with a manually-operated safety latch, a self-locking hook automatically locks closed once loaded, typically requiring a deliberate action to open — reducing the risk of accidental opening under slack-chain conditions or vibration during a lift.

Clevis (CL) connection: The clevis fitting connects directly to a chain link using a pin, rather than requiring a separate connecting link, simplifying the chain sling assembly.

Grade 8 material: Grade 8 is the most widely used chain sling grade in general industrial and construction lifting, offering a well-proven balance of strength and value.
