Description

The Bridon Dyform® DB2K is a compacted-strand wire rope from Bridon-Bekaert’s premium Dyform range, engineered for applications demanding higher strength-to-diameter ratio and improved fatigue resistance compared to conventional round-strand wire rope construction. Through the Dyform compaction process, the outer strands are cold-worked into a denser, more uniform profile, giving the Bridon Dyform DB2K a smoother surface, increased metallic cross-section, and greater resistance to abrasion and crushing than standard wire rope of the same diameter.

Construction: Compacted strand (Dyform) construction, where round-strand wire rope is passed through rollers that compress the outer strands into a denser, smoother profile without altering the internal wire geometry — increasing breaking strength by up to 10-15% over equivalent round-strand rope at the same diameter.
